So many thing are exactly the same--our friend Eduardo at the laundry, Walter and Sebastian keeping things under control downstairs, the crazy traffic, the yummy food and inexpensive wine. It's almost as though we never left. Well, except for one small difference:
Just off the plane: Charlotte and Trev on our balcony.
We may not get to enjoy late night dinners at our favorite restaurants anymore (luckily we've discovered that they all deliver), but we're enjoying catching up with friends, exploring a new side to Buenos Aires and finding ways to make the city Charlotte-friendly.
Waiting for the subway.
We love not having a car and continue to enjoy our daily walks around the city. Whether it be to one of the various markets in our neighborhood, to Jumbo, the park, or just around Palermo while Charlotte naps, we've gotten a good dose of vitamin D and put some serious kilometers on the Bob.
There have also been a lot of firsts on this trip for Charlotte. First run in the park and visit to the rose garden:
Charlotte's first visit to our favorite restaurant Trapiche:
First trip to the horse races:
First visit to the zoo:
First visits to the Obelisco and La Casa Rosada.
Charlotte playing in the kitchen at her first Argentine birthday party. Our little Milo neighbor turned one!
Now 10 months old, Charlotte has hit a few milestones during our trip. She's now sports four teeth, has learned how to bop along to music and "snap" her fingers. She loves to kick, splash and swim and has also taken some wobbily first steps.
Time has gone by much to quickly and we're trying to soak up as much of Buenos Aires as we can in the next few weeks to last us until our next visit.
