Big Snow
We loved the watch the snow fall in Bariloche. From the big picture window in our living room and Trevor's upstairs office window we could keep an eye on the big, fat flakes and know that snow at our house in Bariloche city center meant for sure the skiing would be great at Catedral in the coming days.

Walking around town right after a big storm was an adventure. Snow was always falling from the trees, sliding down roofs onto sidewalks and dropping from low-hanging power lines. Here's our street the morning after our second big storm.
The city of Bariloche had a creative approach to snow removal which included tractors. In our neighborhood we could also count on a handful of entrepreneurial boys to ring our doorbell offering their snow shoveling services after a storm.
However, for a ski town in the Andes, no one seemed to be as equipped for large snow storms as we might have guessed. Here's Trevor assessing the problem one morning when our taxi (with no snow tires or chains) got stuck in the snow and ice as we headed up to Catedral.
